Immersed in Divine Contentment by Laura Hyde

Baba Muktananda once said, "Contentment destroys the Ego." It's difficult to imagine how such a gentle virtue, how something so soft, can obliterate something so resistant as the ego. But think of the smile from a newborn and how it has the power to melt your heart. Or how only one sip of water can revive a person who has fainted.

Our Biggest Challenges

Our Biggest Challenges
by Laura V Hyde

Anything we go through can be used on behalf of the greater unfolding of humankind. Barry Kaufman, speaker and writer on making "love a choice" devotes his life to helping others embrace love amidst the confusion of life's challenges. He embarked on this benevolent venture after his son was diagnosed as autistic, "...hopeless, unreachable, a tragedy." Yet the Kaufmans chose to keep their hearts open and to see their son as "brain blessed." Abundant with love, they poured their hearts reservoir onto their son and ignored the dismal feedback from medical experts. In 1995, their son graduated with honors in biomedical ethics from an Ivy League college. Over the years, the Kaufman's choice to view obstacles as gifts has empowered thousands of people who have been faced with "challenging opportunities".

Dreaming The World into Being

Wow! This is exactly what I needed to hear tonight!I'm going to keep right on dreamin' BIG!Active Image
Dreaming The World into Being
Alberto Villoldo

Whether you realize it or not, we are all dreaming the world into being. What we're engaging in is not the sleeping dream we're familiar with, but the waking dream we craft with our eyes open. When we're unaware that we all share the power to co-create reality with the help of the Universe itself, that power slips away from us and our dream turns into a nightmare. We begin to feel we're the victims of an unknown and frightening creation that we're unable to influence or change. Events seem to control us and trap us.

Introduction To Awareness

 Introduction to Awareness

Life Is A Mirror - We get clues about our unconscious programming if we are mindful of our reactions, responses, feelings and thoughts about events and people... Ask yourself: What judgment am I making about this event or person? What pushes my buttons? What makes me angry or fearful or sad?

The outer incidents that trigger these reactions in us simply MIRROR our own nature. If we didn't have beliefs around the issues that upset us, where would our reactions come from? If we didn't have some internal reference, we wouldn't react at all...

When outer events spark a reaction, we need to look inside to explore what's going on. Become more watchful of the thoughts that trigger those internal fears... become more aware of the buttons that are pushed to bring up these fears and then change the underlying beliefs and watch yourself shift from the self-centered, controlling behaviors of the ego to the power, love and wisdom of the soul!

The Transition

Active Image

The Transition

There is a lesson to be drawn from the way in which a snake sheds its skin. A snake senses that a new skin has formed under the old one, so it searches for a crack or a small hole in the rocks, and works its way in. It must force itself to pass through the 'narrow gate', and this is difficult. But when it comes out of this narrow passage, the snake has a new skin, the old one having been rubbed off..

In the same way, each one of us must one day pass through the 'narrow gate' in order to shed our old skin, which means our old ideas, habits and ways of thinking. This moment will come for you as well. Of course, the transition will be difficult, but do not be troubled and do not be afraid... Rejoice in the fact that you will shed your old skin and become a new being with greater understanding, a more generous heart and a way of living that can only bring blessings to others!

Break Free

When I read this, I thought of my own "birthing pains," but I also thought about my two daughters and the four babies who live inside their bodies. My first Grand-Baby will be born in June to my oldest daughter. (I played the part of Mother of the Bride at her wedding in August)

And the other three are due to be born to my younger daughter in November. Three little miracles. You see, we weren't sure if she would ever have children. She lost one ovary to endometriosis, and the other one wasn't lookin' so good. We sobbed over this together. I could SO feel her pain at not believing that she could ever have children.

But now, Miracles abound! I am so blessed!

So, here's to all my new Grand-Babies (all 4 of them will be born this year!)

BREAK FREE
by Ann Albers

Message from the Angels - Celebrate the springtime of your souls. Be as gentle with yourselves as you would with a newborn baby, because each of you is going through a rebirthing phase - an emergence out of an old and confining way of being into a new and expansive reality..

What Tomorrow Will Bring

 Active Image

 What Tomorrow Will Bring
by Ralph Marston

Life is dynamic. And for that reason, the bad news is never as bad as it seems..

Whatever may happen, whatever condition may arise, you can adjust to it and make the most of it. Not only can you survive in the face of changing conditions, you can indeed prosper..

When you look at new developments through the lens of your existing assumptions, they can often appear overwhelmingly negative and hopeless. Yet when you start working your way through the new conditions, brilliant opportunities begin to appear at nearly every turn..

 Grandfather, Great Spirit
I give you thanks
That we can sit here
In this circle of Life,
We send Prayers
And the very best thoughts
Grandmother Great Spirit

As we raise this sacred pipe
To give thanks to you
And to all of your Creation,
We give thanks
To the spirit helpers
Who came and sat among us.

The Attitude of Faith

The Attitude of Faith

Alan Watts

RELAX AND FLOAT
Active Image

Faith is a state of openness or trust. To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don't grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead you relax and float. The attitude of faith is the very opposite of clinging to belief, of holding on. In other words, a person who is fanatic in matters of religion and clings to certain ideas about the nature of God and the universe, becomes a person who has no faith at all. Instead they are holding tight. But the attitude of faith is to let go and become open to truth, whatever it might turn out to be...

Ten Rules for Ending Resentment

Ten Rules for Ending Resentment
by NORMAN VINCENT PEALE

FIRST: When anyone hurts you, put "spiritual iodine" on the wound at once. That is, pray hard about it. If you do not do this it will fester.

SECOND: If resentment has hardened in your thoughts, apply grievance drainage. That is, open your mind and let the grievance flow out.

THIRD: Do this by unburdening yourself to a trusted counselor or write a letter to the person against whom you have the resentment. Then tear it up and and while holding the pieces in your hand pray for the person and forgive them.
